Change Formatting Options Anytime, Not Just Upfront

Main upgrade: change Formatting Options anytime, not just upfront.

You no longer have to get every Formatting Option right before clicking Format Magic. After your document has been processed, you can now:

• Add or remove a cover page
• Add or remove a table of contents
• Toggle page numbers on or off
• Switch between portrait and landscape
• Change the page size

...and click a new "Create PDF with Current Options" button to apply your changes - without re-running the AI. The output editor refreshes to show your new layout, and the PDF regenerates instantly. Forgot to add a cover page? Two clicks and you're done.

Smarter cover pages

• AI drafts your cover page automatically when you tick the box - no more typing cover page text into a separate field beforehand
• Edit directly in the output editor - change the title, add subtitles, delete blank lines, all in the same rich-text editor as the rest of your document
• Visual border around the cover page area in the editor so you can see what's part of the cover vs. the body
• "Click to add a subtitle" hint appears in the right spot for adding optional subtitle text
• Better behaviour when pressing Enter to add spacing - your title stays a title, your content stays inside the cover page area
• Works beautifully on dark templates - cover page borders and subtitle text now adapt to whatever colour scheme your template uses

Smarter Table of Contents

• Choose how deep your TOC goes - H1 only, H1+H2, the default H1+H2+H3, or H1 through H4. Great for keeping TOCs manageable on long documents
• TOC refreshes automatically when you edit headings - change a heading title in the editor, regenerate, and the TOC updates to match
• Visual border with explanatory note so you know it's auto-generated and not for direct editing

A few smaller touches

• The "Create PDF" button shows live progress feedback when you use it - spinner while working, success message when done
• A subtle "New:" announcement under the Format Magic button highlights the post-format options for existing users
• The Formatting Options panel header now hints at the re-create option once your document is processed
• Improved server-side cleanup means cleaner cover pages and TOCs in the final PDF - no stray blank pages from invisible empty lines

Why this matters

Previously, forgetting to set an option meant re-running the entire AI formatting flow - burning tokens and time. Now your document gets formatted once, and you can iterate on layout and structure as many times as you like. Tweak, regenerate, repeat - all for free.
